This wine from family owned Bodega de Mateos, located in the world famous La Rioja, is elaborated using 100% Grenache grapes coming from 20 years old vines.
Its pink colour is due to a shorter contact period between the pressed grapes' juice and its skins during the first stages of elaboration.
Its colour can be described as pale salmon with onion skin reflections, bright and very attractive. It has a fresh, sweet and balsamic aroma, with subtle notes of vegetables and menthol, and intense hints of raspberry, strawberry, licorice and violets, all round up by the oak cask frangance. Perfect balance between sweetness and acidity, with a slightly bitter finish, which invites you to continue drinking. Very balanced, it has an oily mid palate without losing freshness anda very pleasant and creamy acidity.
Perfect to pair with grilled vegetables, salted fish, risottos and other rice-based plates and asian food.
